Center for Academic Integrity at University of Chenab, Gujrat and University of Lahore are jointly hosting a Conference on Academic and Research Integrity on 7th and 8th March 2024. It aims to extract finding to improve the quality of academic research and integrity. The Conference will feature oral and poster presentations, keynotes from renowned practitioners and scholars, and student competitions pertaining to Academic research and integrity.

Theme of the Conference

“Examining discourse on academic and research integrity in Pakistan”

Academic integrity is key to supporting quality education that is inclusive and accessible to all students and Practioners. Integrity of Research is the foundation to reliable and valuable results that have the power to make sustainable changes and solve pressing issues facing societies and institutions.
There is a need for focused dialogue that identifies the cultural norms and differences that exist within academia in Pakistan. In essence, Academic Integrity endeavors to mold graduates and researchers into individuals who embody unwavering integrity and ethical values, ensuring they become assets to the community by virtue of their principled commitment to originality and innovation.
The Conference aims to provide new viewpoints on crucial subjects that affect integrity in academia. Prevalence of predatory journals, research data integrity, contract cheating and the role of academic institutions and individuals are some areas of interest. This falls within the overarching theme of “Examining discourse on academic and research integrity in Pakistan”, with sub-themes including but not limited to:

  • Academic integrity – Spreading awareness, and improving knowledge and practices
